Characters.

I have no idea who these people are. Whilst out in Glasgow one morning i came across this pair and something about their expressions really appealed to me. The guy on the right seems so amused by something and had this smug but happy grin, while the one on the left seemed almost like “oh well, whatever.” I wish i could have caught some of their conversation as it seems like they were having fun.

That is one of the joys of street photography. You tend to pay more attention to people, and see things that otherwise you would have missed.

In some ways this was a lucky shot as they didn’t notice me so didn’t change their stance. Unfortunately there have been other times when i have seen someone in a great pose or expression and at the last second they spot me about to take a picture and they turn away, or their look changes. That is both the fun and the challenge to taking photos out in public.
